Daily checklist
All active habits on one screen. One tap to check off, another to undo. A progress bar for today sits on top.
A habit tracker for iPhone and Android
Pick up to seven habits, set a goal of 7 to 90 days and check them off every day. Each day is a new row of cells: green — done, yellow — half done, red — missed. Fill the board without red cells.
About
Habitris is a simple habit tracker with nothing extra. You pick a few habits, set the cycle length and once a day mark what worked out. The marks build up into a “tetris” — a board where every day adds a row of cells. It shows an honest picture of the whole cycle: runs of green, occasional yellows and the red days that didn’t happen.
The app is made for people who have tried tracking habits and quit: too many items, unclear progress, tracking for tracking’s sake. Habitris limits things on purpose — at most seven habits and a cycle with an end date — so the distance stays visible and the result measurable.
The limit is 7 active habits. Better to see seven through than to drop twenty.
Every day is a row of cells on the board. You see the whole picture, not just a streak counter.
A miss is just a red cell, not a counter reset to zero. The cycle goes on.
Features
All active habits on one screen. One tap to check off, another to undo. A progress bar for today sits on top.
Every day of the cycle is a row of cells, one per habit. Green — done, yellow — half done, red — missed. A perfect day earns 🤩.
Drank one litre of water instead of two? Mark it half done: a yellow cell and half a point instead of zero. Enabled per habit.
Pick your distance: 7, 14, 21, 30, 60 or 90 days. A cycle has an end — which means there is a moment to sum things up.
The catalog has ready-made habits: water, sleep before midnight, 10,000 steps, reading. Missing one? Create your own: a title, a subtitle and an icon out of 78.
Two independent reminders — daytime and evening, each with its own time. They run until the goal ends, and after the finish they nudge you to sum up.
Finished cycles go to the archive: the overall percentage, a per-habit breakdown, what worked and what didn’t. You can see yourself grow from attempt to attempt.
Light by default, dark via a switch in the settings. Both are drawn by hand, not auto-inverted.
No sign-up, no account. All your marks are stored locally on your device and never sent anywhere.
How it works
Take ready-made ones from the catalog or create your own. No more than seven are active at once — a deliberate constraint, not a missing feature.
From 7 to 90 days in the settings. For starters, 21 days works well: long enough to matter, short enough to finish.
Open the app and go through the checklist: done — a green cell, half done — a yellow one, forgot — the cell turns red. Day by day the board grows downward.
At the end of the cycle Habitris shows the result: the overall percentage and a per-habit breakdown. Tap “Start over” — the attempt goes to history and the board starts from a clean row.
Guide
On the first run Habitris shows a short five-screen tutorial: why build habits, why at most seven, how to read the progress board, what “halves” are and how to add your own habit. You can rewatch it anytime: Settings → “Watch the tutorial again”.
Open Settings → “Add/remove habit”. Enable habits from the catalog with a tap, and if the one you need is missing, hit “Create your own habit” and set a title, a subtitle and an icon. Swipe an unneeded catalog habit to the left to delete it. Card order is changed in “Reorder”. In the settings list every habit can be edited or temporarily disabled with a toggle.
On the main screen tap a habit card — it turns green. For quantitative habits (water, steps, pages) you can enable “Half-done marks”: a tap then cycles empty → half → done. A half gives a yellow cell and half a point for the day — fairer than zero for a partial result.
Below the checklist sits the “tetris” of the current cycle titled “Day N of Y”. Each row is a day, each column a habit. The top row is today, highlighted. Each day shows its score on the right, e.g. “4½/7”, and a day with everything done earns 🤩. Red cells don’t “break” the cycle: they just note that this habit was missed that day.
The settings have two independent toggles: a daytime reminder (12:00 by default) and an evening one (22:00). Tap a row to change its time. Reminders come until the current goal ends, and once the cycle is finished the app sends up to three nudges to check the result and start a new cycle.
When the goal is reached by dates, the main screen shows a “Goal complete” banner with the result: the overall percentage, what worked (habits at 70% and above) and what didn’t. The “Start over” button sends the attempt to the History section and starts a new cycle with the same habits. Each past attempt in history has a card with per-habit percentages; swipe left to delete one.

FAQ
It’s a deliberate limit. With twenty habits, a checklist turns into a to-do list you just want to close and forget. Seven is the most you can realistically hold every day through a whole cycle. Want a new habit over the limit — disable one of the current ones.
Green — the habit is fully done. Yellow — half done (half a point). Red — the day has passed with no mark. Grey — the day hasn’t come yet, or it’s today and there is still time.
It’s a way to count a partial result: read 10 pages instead of 20 — get a yellow cell and half a point instead of zero. Enabled with the “Half-done marks” toggle when editing a habit. Quantitative catalog habits (water, floors, steps, reading) have it on out of the box.
No. The missed day becomes a red cell, and that’s it. Habitris doesn’t reset streaks and doesn’t shame you — the cycle continues, and the red cell stays as a note of where it was hard. Marks can’t be set retroactively: the board reflects what actually happened.
A “Goal complete” banner appears with the summary: the overall completion percentage and a per-habit breakdown — what worked (70% and above) and what didn’t. Tap “Start over” to archive the attempt into history and begin a new cycle from today. Until you tap it, the summary stays put.
No. Only cycles that reached the end and were restarted with the “Start over” button go to history. If you change the goal length mid-cycle, the current progress is reset without archiving — the app warns you about that.
No account needed. All marks, habits and history are stored locally on the device and never leave it. The app has no analytics or trackers. Mind the flip side: deleting the app deletes your data with it.
Not yet — all habits, including steps and activity rings, are marked manually. The “Apple Health sync” item in the settings is reserved for a future integration.
The app is free: no subscriptions, no in-app purchases, no ads.
Habitris is a native app for iPhone, iPad and Android. Install it, pick your habits and fill the board without red cells.
